The Land Art Generator Initiative 2012 Design Competition for New York City provides the opportunity for corporate sponsorships and individual contributions that have a resounding impact at a number of scales.
LAGI NYC 2012 will build upon successful strategies implemented for the 2010 LAGI competition, which received over 200 entries from 40 countries and acclaim in media outlets including New York Times and Dwell Magazine and countless online journals. In its inaugural year, LAGI achieved status as one of the most well-known design competitions in the world and thousands are waiting to watch and participate in the 2012 edition.
The project’s success is rooted in the timely nature of its proposal. The merging of public art and renewable energy infrastructure is seen as a powerful method of innovation and inspiration that can help to promote the efforts of the global sustainability movement.
